About Subway Medusa:
Psychics, surfers, femme fatales, the love-stricken, and the triangulated populate the skewed-lyrics and quasi-narratives of Subway Medusa. Forebodings and sinister allure mingle with the archly humorous. Game-playing and serious intentions overlap – be it for an ingénue looking for online romance, a seeker investigating ancient beliefs, or an unwitting subway passenger. Subway Medusa is Clara Blackwood’s first full-length book of poetry. From 1998 to 2004 she ran the Syntactic Sunday Readings Series at the Free Times Café in Toronto.
