Amazon.ca First Novel Award Shortlist

The shortlist for the 34th annual Amazon.ca First Novel Award has been announced. This year, Quill & Quire will co-present the award. The winner will receive $7,500 at a ceremony in Toronto in April.

The shortlist:

• No Place Strange (Key Porter Books) by Diana Fitzgerald Bryden
• Come, Thou Tortoise (Knopf Canada) by Jessica Grant
• The Golden Mean (Random House Canada) by Annabel Lyon
• Goya’s Dog (Hamish Hamilton Canada) by Damian Tarnopolsky
• Diary of Interrupted Days (Random House Canada) by Dragan Todorovic
• Daniel O’Thunder (Douglas & McIntyre) by Ian Weir
