Bedtime Stories with Kellogg's and Kids Can Press

Share |

Kids Can Press and Kellogg's Canada are teaming up to teach children the importance of reading and Canadian history. Kids Can Press, the largest Canadian-owned children's book publisher, is providing a free copy of the book "Oh, Canada!" with the purchase of specially-marked boxes of Rice Krispies.

This joint venture was sparked when a recent survey commissioned by Kellogg's Rice Krispies discovered that 88 per cent of Canadian families with children under the age of 12 read bedtime stories to their children. With this information, Kellogg's Canada teamed up with Kids Can Press to provide families with appropriate bedtime reading material that also helps to teach children about Canadian history and geography. “Rice Krispies has a long-standing commitment to helping parents create nurturing moments with their children,” says Andrew Loucks, Vice President, Marketing, Kellogg Canada Inc. “What better way to demonstrate this commitment to Canadian families than to provide a resource they can use to help establish their own meaningful and memorable bedtime routines with their children.”

To help continue the nightly storytime tradition, parents are also invited to visit www.ricekrispies.ca, where Kellogg's Canada is hosting the Great Canadian Bedtime Story. Parents and children can contribute to the story, create their own, or even download free pre-populated stories from the website.
