This highly-anticipated event will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the historic Fairmont Royal York Toronto located at100 Front Street West. Notable authors who have previously attended the event include; Alissa York, Anne DeGrace, Joseph Boyden, Lawrence Hill, Margaret Atwood, and Vincent Lam to name a few. The attendee roster also includes local political dignitaries, industry tastemakers, publishers, literary scholars and executives from Canada’s leading corporations.

The Book Lover’s Ball will conclude with a stunning fashion show featuring Canadian designers and fashion inspired by our city’s cultural diversity and its international — and internationally read &mdash authors. “The Book Lover's Ball captures the mood of what's happening in the literary world, as well as in our communities. This year, we will showcase the multiplicity of our library branches, as well as the cultural diversity of Toronto, its authors, and the books that inspire us all”. - Heather Rumball, President, Toronto Public Library Foundation
