Call for Submissions for Lesbian Scenes & Monologues: An Anthology

Playwrights Canada Press invites you to submit monologues and short scenes for publication in its latest anthology, Lesbian Scenes & Monologues: An Anthology, selected and edited by Susan G. Cole, Senior Entertainment Editor at NOW Magazine. The author of the work may be male or female writing for a lesbian voice. Deadline for submission: November 30th, 2007. All submissions must come from produced plays and, if published, must include information on how to contact the publisher. If the play is unpublished, please indicate where reading scripts can be obtained. Length of Submission Limit of 2 submissions per author. The monologue or scene MUST have stage directions that set up the work (action, location, anything pertinent) and give brief descriptions of the characters. (25 – 50 words) Information about the play must be CLEARLY identified: Title, Author, Translator (if applicable), First Production Credits, Publisher (if applicable) Submissions to be faxed or mailed to: Lesbian Scenes & Monologues FAX: 416-408-3402 Email submissions will not be accepted Please ensure the following: 1. Include your full name and all contact information (mailing address, fax number, email address) on each submission. Unless a self-addressed, stamped envelope is enclosed for return, the submission will be destroyed after the selection process Enclose a self-addressed, stamped post card to be returned as acknowledgement that we have received your work. If you are moving, please keep us updated by sending an email to editor@playwrightscanada.com. After the selection process, we will contact only the candidates chosen to be included in the publication. Monologues selected receive a $35 honorarium, and scenes selected receive a $60 honorarium, on publication of the work. The author will receive a complimentary copy of the book on publication, and additional copies may be purchased at a 45% discount. Related item from our archives |
