Since 2004, the Canadian Writers in Person (CWIP) series at York University has hosted readings and presentations by over 50 of Canada’s most significant, emerging authors. They were formerly available only in their original taped form, but now are available to the public through the Canadian Writers in Person Digital Archive.

“The purpose of this archive is to enable scholars, students and lovers of Canadian literature to hear authors read their own works in their own voices and reflect on their unique experiences of the creative process.”

“The archive is housed in the Clara Thomas library at York University and will be an extraordinary research resource that will expand each year the course is offered. This will be an invaluable and unique archive, and highlights York’s contribution to Canada’s cultural landscape.”
