CBC Books Celebrates National Poetry Month in a Big Way

To celebrate National Poetry Month, CBC Books has poetry themed articles, interviews and, perhaps most exciting of all, contests! In case you haven’t already heard, the Canada Writes Poetry Prize competition is now open and all Canadians can participate! Why should you submit your poetry? Just look at what you could win:

First Prize: $6,000, courtesy of the Canada Council for the Arts, the publication of your poem in Air Canada’s enRoute magazine and on the Canada Writes website, a two-week residency at The Banff Centre's Leighton Artists' Colony and an interview with Shelagh Rogers on CBC Radio’s The Next Chapter.

Four Runners-Up Prizes: $1,000, courtesy of the Canada Council for the Arts and publication of your poem on the Canada Writes website.
