Discover Ontario one book at a Time with the Open Book Explorer
Submitted by kateburgess on October 29, 2014 - 9:09am
Open Book: Ontario and the Ontario Book Publishers Organization (OBPO) are pleased to announce the launch of the Open Book Explorer, an interactive online feature that makes connections for readers between history books and historical landmarks. Search the Explorer by book, region, city or landmark and discover mapped tours, author interviews, supplemental reading lists and feature articles. Our mapped tours plot historical landmarks and provide recommended reading lists to help you discover Ontario's rich history. Take a silver and gold mining tour of Northern Ontario, a 19th-century walk through Niagara-on-the-Lake, a tour of Yorkville in the 1960s or one of the many other tours the Explorer offers. Get in depth with our By the Book series, which offers tours to accompany individual books. Open Book Explorer is an excellent resource for tourists, historians, day trippers, students and teachers. Visit www.explorer.openbookontario.com and discover Ontario one book at a time.
