Ghost B-Gone Incorporated

This year House of Anansi held their second short fiction contest aimed at publishing new works by emerging Canadian writers. This time, they held a Digital 7-Day Ghost Story Contest with the winner getting their story published under the Anansi Digital imprint and receiving a $100 gift certificate to the House of Anansi store and an Astoria swag bag. Judges accepted submissions for only seven days and today they announced the winning title.

The winner of The 7-Day Ghost Story Contest is Randy McCharles with his story Ghost-B-Gone Incorporated. The tale is a homage to Ghostbusters and was inspired by the media’s warnings of door-to-door fraud. Readers can buy a copy of the short story here.

Randy McCharles lives in Calgary, Alberta and you can visit him at his website here.
