Thinking of taking a course this fall? Influency 3: A Toronto Poetry Salon is a 9-week course offered by The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies Creative Writing Program. The course is facilitated by Margaret Christakos and features seven accomplished Toronto-based poets working in distinctive contemporary styles —Antonio D’Alfonso, Triny Finlay, Maggie Helwig, Robert Priest , Stuart Ross, Karen Solie, and Souvankham Thammavongsa.

The poets will appear as guest critics in this unique lecture-reading salon series, to be followed by a half-hour live poetry reading by the poet under discussion and a facilitated Q & A.

The course runs from September 26 to November 28, 2007, Wednesday Evenings, 7 pm – 9:30 pm. (No class October 31.) at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, at the University of Toronto St. George Campus. This session the class will be held in the U of T Pharmacy Building at the northwest corner of College & University, in “The Pod.”

Cost: $199 plus $100 course materials (7 books).
