Inside Hana’s Suitcase Featured on CBC

Inside Hana’s Suitcase, the powerful documentary film based on the international bestselling book, will be featured on CBC Television this Sunday, March 6th at 8:00pm.

Inside Hana's Suitcase tells the story of how a group of Japanese children and their teacher used a suitcase found in a Nazi death camp to find out about the life of its owner, Hana Brady, a Jewish child who was imprisoned during World War II.

Written by two-time Peabody Award Winner Karen Levine, Hana’s Suitcase was originally published by Second Story Press in 2002. It went on to become one of the most awarded Canadian books for young people, and the inspiration for the documentary film featured at Toronto’s HotDocs Festival in 2009, directed by Larry Weinstein.

Watch it on CBC Television’s DocZone on Sunday, March 6th, 2011 at 8:00pm.
