January/February Issue of the LRC
Submitted by clelia on January 15, 2008 - 11:52am
The January/February issue of the Literary Review of Canada is out, and it’s filled with engrossing reviews and poetry. You can read several of the reviews online for free, including “Alice in Afghanistan,” Robert Fowler’s review of Janice Gross Stein and Eugine Lang’s new book, The Unexpected War: Canada in Kandahar; “Pages from the Liberal Handbook,” Tom Flanagan’s review of Warren Kinsella’s The War Room: Political Strategies for Business, NGOs and Anyone Who Wants To Win; and “Pages from the Conservative Handbook,” Warren Kinsella’s review of Tom Flanagan’s Harper’s Team: Behind the Scenes in the Conservative Rise to Power. The free online articles will likely increase your interest in reading the rest of the LRC. It’s a great price ($6.50 an issue!) and the reviews are smart and interesting. You’ll also want to check out the cover art and pictures throughout the issue by Toronto artist Barbara Klunder. Related item from our archives |
