Corus Entertainment’s Kids Can Press (KCP) and Parmalat Canada Inc. take snack ‘n’ learn to a whole new level with the launch of a new Black Diamond Funcheez in-pack promotion. From June 2010 to February 2011, children can collect limited-edition bilingual (English/French) Franklin The Turtle mini books in specially marked packages of Black Diamond’s FunCheez in grocery stores across Canada.

“This partnership with Parmalat represents a unique offering and an inspired way to encourage reading by giving children the chance to collect a series of exclusive books from a beloved and internationally recognized character,” said Lisa Lyons, President, Kids Can Press. “And the timing couldn’t be better, with Franklin’s 25th anniversary nearing in 2011.”

“We are excited to partner with Kids Can Press to bring this promotion to consumers,” said President and CEO of Parmalat Canada Inc., Nash Lakha. “Promoting reading in a fun way with a healthy snack is a great way to promote education with kids.”

The campaign will be featured on the FunCheez website as the program reaches its launch date.
