A Literary Tour of the Annex
Submitted by clelia on October 30, 2008 - 1:22pm
Don Denton, a writer and photographer for Literary Photographer, recently took a walking tour of Toronto’s Annex area, using Stephen Cain’s Open Book article, “A Textual Excursion around the Annex,” and Greg Gatenby’s book, Toronto, A Literary Guide, to help him find the neighbourhood’s literary landmarks. Check out his article for his gorgeous photos of the Annex, and then, should you want to take your own walking tour, take notes from Cain’s article to guide you. Literary Photographer is a Victoria, BC-based magazine with “an emphasis on Canadian writing as well as photography and art connected to literature.” It’s a site you can easily spend hours browsing; it’s filled with great articles, reviews, photographs and more.
