New Canadian Mysteries Reviewed in Hamilton Spectator

Five new Canadian mysteries were reviewed in last Saturday’s Hamilton Spectator, including Tell Everything by Sally Cooper (Dundurn Group) and The Dells: A Joe Shoe Mystery by Michael Blair (Castle Street Mysteries). Tell Everything is Cooper’s second novel. Reviewer Don Graves writes, “Tell Everything is not just a novel about a young woman facing her past but how unquenchable, obsessive acts from the past force themselves into the reality of the here and now. The magnetic writing drew me to the story.”

Graves also has praise for The Dells, which he calls “deftly written,” “intriguing,” and “satisfying.” The Dells is the second mystery in Blair’s Joe Shoe series. Death Was the Other Woman by Linda L. Richards (Thomas Dunne), The Wrong Move by Sheila Kindellan-Sheehan (Redlader Publishing), and Necessary Larceny by Ian Stout (Manor House) were also reviewed in Saturday’s Hamilton Spectator. Head to Type Books at 883 Queen Street West, Toronto on February 19 at 7:00 p.m. for the launch of Tell Everything by Sally Cooper. See our events page for details.
