In the latest issue of This Magazine, John Degen compares publishing a first novel in Canada to “tossing a note-laden bottle into Lake Superior.” Anyone who is or knows a budding novelist will identify, and even if you’ve never met a writer in your life, you’ll still find the article hilarious.
