Read It: blogTO's Toronto Novel List

Share |

Want to feel connected to your city and read your way through a brilliant bunch of books? Check out blogTO's list of the top 20 novels set in Toronto. The list was put together from readers suggestions, and it offers a broad range of recommendations. Derek Flack of blogTO writes, "Along with CanLit giants like Margaret Atwood, Michael Ondaatje, Morley Callaghan and Timothy Findley, the list below shows off younger writers working in a wide range of genres. A rather well-known series of graphic novels and those written for young-adults are even represented (as they most definitely should be)." Once you finish reading the top 20 list, be sure to scroll down for more recommendations from readers.

If you're interested in finding out more about Toronto-based fiction, Flack recommends two "excellent resources": Amy Lavender Harris's Imagining Toronto website and Imagining Toronto book.
