Review of New Canadian Mysteries

In last weekend’s Hamilton Spectator, Don Graves reviews five new novels in his “Canadian Mysteries” column, including A Case of You (RendezVous Press) by Open Book’s February Writer in Residence, Rick Blechta, and The K Handshape (Dundurn Press) by Maureen Jennings. Graves recommends Blechta’s A Case of You as “a tale of deceit, deeply buried in pain and harsh reality.... an impressive piece of writing.... a must-read.” He praises Jennings as “a mystery writer of imaginative precision” and calls The K Handshape “a most satisfying read.” Read the full reviews here.

Rick Blechta is reading on Tuesday, March 4 at Casa Loma and the launch for A Case of You is on March 30 at the Black Swan Pub.

Maureen Jennings is reading at the Harbourfront Centre on March 5 and the launch for The K Handshape is on March 20 at The Sleuth of Baker Street.
